Hey to one and all! Things are crazy busy like always! Quick question/comment here. I've heard rumors that there's going to be dancing through the summer semester, is there any truth to that? (I talked to some of the swing-kids, but no one seems to know for sure on that) Anyhow, just curious. TTYL,

I don't know. Maybe our new president's mastery of Cyrillic might help us get some headway with the BYUSSR.

I don't yet know anything about organizing anything, or being any kind of president, other than that I'm going to have to do it, but we here at the club are all about the keeping dancing through the summer. In fact, that was when I started dancing was in a spring semester. This past spring/summer we didn't have anything on campus, but I'm pretty sure that's just because they wouldn't let us schedule any facilities, and it seems like that trouble is mainly over. (They have, after all, been letting us schedule facilities this semester). So I would pretty much count on having events on campus over spring and summer.
Plus if we run into any momentary hitches, I'm a little bit excited to be moving back into my house next to campus that I was sad never to have hosted dancing in last year when I moved out of it. So we'll have to come over to my house once or twice. It's way close.

Yay! That's good to hear, as there is a good probability that Cheri and I will be heading back for a visit sometime during the summer.
How about dancing this Saturday night?
You know I would, but I don't know where to put us. They're not big on letting people reserve stuff during finals.
Also, I'm not sure yet how I would actually reserve a space, even if I thought they would let us.
And I don't get my house until next weekend, so that's out for now.
If you've got a venue, though, I am willing to bend my powers of publicizing to get as many people out as I can.
part of the reason the club holds a workshop is that the club can offset the cost of the instructors, etc, to make the workshop more affordable for club members. if swing kids combined efforts with swingutah peeps, we couldn't do that. fwiw.

It's the same as my old house that I wanted to have dancing in, but never did. I don't know if you ever knew where that was, but it's right east of campus.
