Fun dance. Thanks to everybody who came to say goodbye to us and sorry we couldn't get there earlier.
so...are you gone forever now? [Emoticon not found]
I gTalked to Buzz this afternoon. after 29 hour of travel, they got there yesterday afternoon/night/morning.
Buzz should be starting at work in Cyprus right about now.
Forever is a long time. But for the foreseeable future, yes.
Where is Buzz going? I didn't know he was going out of town for the next decade or such.

Cyprus for a few years. It was pretty quick. We were going to wait until March. And then one week they asked me to go. And they asked me to go in 2 weeks. And to leave in 1 week for training for 5 days. So we really didn't have much time to inform everybody.
But the good news is that if you are ever in the Cypriot neighborhood, you now have a place to stay!! (seriously, we have 2 extra bedrooms and about 6 couches)
And it's really only a hop, skip and a jump away from Cairo, Jerusalem, Athens, or Rome.
so when's the cyprus lindy exchange going to be?
traci:so when's the cyprus lindy exchange going to be?
That's a good question. We need to come up with something to stand for TUS so that we can call it CLETUS (Cyprus Lindy Exchange T... U... S...)
Why CLETUS?
And by the way, we only have 3 couches, 1 love seat and an extra bed. I think the two chairs next to the couches may have confused you....
Meh. 3 couches, 1 love seat, and 2 armchairs. I was close enough.
How about Transport Utah Swingers TUS.
So I just have to say I miss you two. [Emoticon not found]
or maybe Two Utah Swingers? TUS
We miss everybody too. It's really sad hearing about great late night dances and thinking "if only we had 24 hour notice, we could have made it!!"
Cyprus Lindy Exchange: Two Utah Swingers
It's genius! Send pictures, and make us all jealous. [Emoticon not found]
We better make it "Two Utah Swingdancers", just to be on the safe side.
Who needs a "safe side"? [Emoticon not found]
I know where Chebuzz was today! In Jerusalem. And how do I know that? I saw them. Yup, there I was on my first visit up to the Old City (I'm studying here in Jerusalem this semester) and I hear my name called. I about choked, but it was so cool to see familiar faces. Apparently they have to leave Cyprus every so often, so they were visiting Jerusalem. Everyone in my group was as surprised as I was that I knew somebody. Cherea's got about a month or so to go before Chebuzz Jr. joins the world.
I went to a dixieland jazz concert tonight here at the Jerusalem Center. The center sponsors concerts by local musicians twice a week and they often have jazz performers. Who knew they could swing like that over here? I didn't. The group has performed for the SAC exchange before. I wanted to get up and dance, but I have yet to find another swing dancer over here. I plan on setting up lessons and starting the revolution.
Amazing!
I am pretty much dumbfounded. At all of it. The whole thing.
Good luck on your semester, say hi to CheBuzz for me, and have a happy Jerusalem!
Yep [Emoticon not found]
We toured the Jerusalem Center and they told us that the BYU kids would be flying in the 9th. We planned on leaving Jerusalem for Tel Aviv on the 10th and then flying back to Cyprus on the 11th.
So as we were walking back from the Garden of Gethsemane, I was thinking to myself: "I bet the BYU kids are taking their first city tour right about now. I wonder if we know any of them." And sure enough about 10 minutes later I see this bright red head of hair. I told Cheri, "That kind of looks like *Tink." Lo and behold, it was!!
We only got to talk for a few minutes because we didn't want to distract her whole group from the tour, but it was pretty cool! and random.
* Names changed to protect the innocent
We'll be needing to take another trip close by in about three months. Where we go will depend mostly upon ticket prices but just in case: will anyone be near Egypt, Rome or Athens in three months?
Oh yeah! Totally- right before I hit up Singapore, Guam, and South Africa. [Emoticon not found]
