My life has forever changed.
Thank you, Traci! Thank you!
This is awesome. I want one!!
traci:
Wow... what is funny is that I have had 'support' calls that are so similar to that, that it's scary.
popthestack:This is awesome. I want one!!
um, no. never. ever. ever.
I hadn't heard of this before. I'm SO impressed [Emoticon not found]

The owner of said Human slingshot was in the presidency of the BYU 1st stake and they would have the stake opening social at his ranch up one of the canyons. Of course with the whole stake there, you had to come pretty early to get a chance to use it.
Ture. I have been on said slingshot. It's pretty cool. I'm just always afraid of what would happen if it broke.
I suspect only one rope would break at a time, and as a result it would wrap you around one of the poles. Of course I'm not a mechanical engineer with experience in elastics.
Still... broken, everything
Buzz:Still... broken, everything
But that's not what I said. As long as your harness and points of contact are intact, I don't think a failure of one side or another would result in ground collision and broken bones. Elastic whiplash would likely cause damage, but that would be localized rather than over the whole body.
Ok, let's think about this. If one side breaks, the other side will still pull you forward. But instead of being balanced between the two poles, you will be pulled directly towards the pole that's still attached. You may not hit it at first, but I would say that you probably stand a good chance of hitting it sooner or later.
Of course, if you disagree, we can give it a shot.
i'm thinkin' you'd get wrapped around that pole like a tether ball, and then smack the pole with full force. definately not good times. or, with the stretch of the cord, you'd go around the pole you're attached to and then smack the other one. either way: no.
simply and utterly awesome.
(I know this has dancing, but the other thread is more to do with -swing- dancing, so I thought I'd put it here. [Emoticon not found] )

I LOVE this..... what an absolutely simple, and yet awesome idea. We should totally organize an event on campus or something.

I'd be soo down. Has it been done already in any shape or form?
I don't think so. But even if it has, it should be done again.
I saw someone doing it on campus the other day. It was funny.
For those of you were at the sultan's harvest moon ball back in October I briefly wore a paper on my back that said "free hugs" on Saturday night. It was really fun. I believe I remember Miranda saying she's done it with a group of people at the Gateway.
Oh ya!!
You could do it in conjunction with the flash pillow fight.
Hug everyone who hits you with a pillow? Or vise-versa?
hit everyone who doesn't give you a hug
maybe everyone should just gang up on the huggers.

I love that movie
this is crazy long, but google's got some good ideas in there.
I wish I could see his powerpoint presentation.
yay. i love finding good songs where a sax doesn't kill the song. rare, but always good.
LOL. Wow, Weird Al nailed it.
bobthecow:
Dang. It's so nice to finally see vids to match all these amazing sounds i've heard over the years.
t_roach:LOL. Wow, Weird Al nailed it.
I can't believe I watched the whole thing.
The fear of girls thing is pretty dang funny.
bobthecow:
Yikes! I didn't make it very far into that one. They are elite.
bobthecow:

traci:bobthecow:hey, isn't that buzz in that video?
You're right, it does look like Buzz!
We've caught you Buzz! No more hiding your nerdiness from us!
Actually, on second thought, you can keep hiding it from us! [Emoticon not found]

traci:check these hott dancers out
Checked!
I think I've just been enlightened as to how that could contain "hott dancers", and be in the thread "clips that have nothing to do with dancing".
Wow, they shared a special type of connection.
"This is Myke and Debbie - Milwaukee's dancing ambassadors. The King and Queen of Brewtown USA!!!"
Yep. That's about right. [Emoticon not found]

May is going to be a busy month. GREAT acting, great action, great romance, .... No wonder they call him amazing.
I wanted one for Christmas so bad.
We won this contest by making this video. It was pretty fun.
We, as in, BYU? or we as in you and some other people?
Troach, the Archduke of swing, now refers to themselves using the royal first person plural, "We".
