t_roach:Just don't ask me to spell or say her last name. [Emoticon not found]
Come on man, do it! Do both! Say it and spell it!
Seldgersald! Was I close?
For some great Charleston, check this out.
Segerdahl (I looked it up though)
Just in case you haven't seen it:

Charleston is the granddaddy of hip hop.
Yup.. Vernacular Jazz, Tap, and Charleston.. And Cake walk... Are all predecessors to Hip Hop.. Why do you think I started doing Lindy?
No doubt man!
In that case, check out the OG Cake Walkers [Emoticon not found] [Emoticon not found]
...more charleston ...
... and a little Texas Tommy (add your own music).
These vids brought to you by Peter Loggins.
Sweet.. Love that man.. had me laughin' I am going to bring some hip hop clips so some of the Lindy Hoppers can see how they are related.. Hip hop and Lindy I mean.. Peter Loggins is like the Guru of dance clips. that dude has the biggest collection I have ever seen
A true dance historian!
I finally found a clip of Boogaloo dancing!!!!!! Send it to your friends. [Emoticon not found]

I loved his aerial the best [Emoticon not found]
Wait, wait, wait.. Are you saying this is people dancing "The Boogaloo" or the person"Boogaloo" dancing
You tell me. [Emoticon not found]
Hmmmmm... I would say it is Alfonso Ribeiro doing what you say is the Boogaloo
ROFL!
Boogaloo Shrimp.
Shake Blues. See it for yourself.
i was so there...
i have two things to say:
1. i am glad this is the video of the second group. for a few reasons.
2. you don't get to see one guy invade another girl's dancing space at the end. (they were both in the second group, but they aren't in the video). it was HILARIOUS. though both were a little shocked and embarrased, to say the least.
bwahahahaa.... poor brenda.... hehehe
Everyone needs to watch this clip a gazillion times. I'm still in shock from what I've just seen. I read so much about this couple since I first got into swing in '96 or '97!! AAaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!!!! Many thanks to Peter Loggins for posting it.
yeeeeeeeeeees.... a fantastic clip. All hail the namer-guy of the lindy hop!
that is both so cool and so wrong... why have I never heard of this product before??
Ya, what's the 800 #? Maybe Gumby knows.
bobthecow:
ROFL! HAHAHAHHAHAHA! That's awesome!
As for the youtube dance clip, it proves that short guys can dance and dance well with tall girls! I've only heard excuses for the opposite.
awesome clip!!! there was everything, fast lindy, bal, shag... good stuff.
Best part is Minn and Corina's fast lindy and charleston bit.
It's nice to see it in contrast of the bal and shag.
Just discovered this.
nice.
just out of curiousity, do you do anything other than look for dancing clips online? [Emoticon not found]
SWEET music video: Fun with treadmills!
Cracks me up everytime I watch it.
and somehow I don't see this as a dance clip.... [Emoticon not found]
It's all about perspective, man. One man's soccer clip is another man's sweet new move. Watch me on the dance floor tonight and you may see the "get hit by the ball in the face and fall down" move.
You never know.
You mean like this?
Collegiate Shag for Chuck.
t_roach:You mean like this?
sweet move! i think we should bring in pops for an intermediate series. we could call it sweet moves that almost look like an accident.

that's exactly what I'm talking about!
it only looks like an accident!
check out some awesome collegiate shag, among other awesomeness, at a 4 a.m. jam at CH 2002. if we already brought it up, it's still cool.
Watch for Minn and Corinna doing Lindy Hop amongst the bal [Emoticon not found]
i know. it's insane. i wish i could move that fast.
in case you haven't found it yet, check out http://www.lindylibrary.com. still new, but it's got a ton of ulhs vids.
p.s. the solo blues final video is amazing. check it out.
downloaded all the clips off there the other day...
*happy sigh* ULHS is awesome.
I need to learn how to dance someday.
