That thread brings out a lot of the problems I have with teams. Everyone is so concerned about the perfect timing, the perfect choreography, costumes, etc. etc. and then they tell you to have energy. Sorry, but my energy is sucked away by everything I'm supposed to be for the performance.

If I had to pick which to watch, a performance by Hop Skip and a Jump where everyone is perfectly in sync or a performance by MadDog or Silver Shadows I'd pick the latter two any day.

Amen. Although, I saw a Hop Swing and a Jump routine recently on YouTube that actually had some rawness. :o

[Emoticon not found] I know! Hehe, here's the one I was thinking of. Maybe it's more energized than raw. But seriously, don't you think this is better than usual for them?

alright. that rainbow toss to the guy behind you has to be one of the coolest things i've seen in a while.

Yeah that's a sweet trick... saw that 3 years ago and it never gets old

I've seen a number of videos of that specific performance and I think that one is probably the best one of them. Still, it's not raw, like you said. [Emoticon not found]

I do understand though that not everyone can be raw and pull it off. So either you're raw and kick everyone's butt without perfect timing, etc. or you are not raw and you have to be perfect. I'd pick raw any day!

lol... that was awesome. Incidentally, whoever the dude in the grey shirt was, he has incredible connection (I know, I know... I need to learn the names of more of the Lindy bigshots). We should get him to come teach workshops sometime.

I know his name is Thomas -- his crank turns are crazy amazing too! Max is even more amazing w/ a girl.

I've got some new clips uploaded. Boo should be interested in the HMB clips.

Be sure to watch all of "twobarbreak"'s videos and read any comments he makes. Peter Loggins is one of the great American Jazz Dance historians of our time, and an AMAZING dancer to boot.

HA!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just shouted out loud during the second one, and I'm the only person in my room!

I still totally think that Logan Britt and Freda should get together and collaborate. I think they're like lost cousins.
