So after driving around a couple of hours looking for the beach at Utah Lake last night, I google mapped it, and we were a mile too far north. [Emoticon not found]

Hey, that road going into the middle of a lake looks familiar...

    Ok... let's start the list:

We got yelled at by the head janitor of the Bnsn for trying to break up a pallet

    Justin got pulled over

I got a nail about 2-3" in my foot

We left about 1 hour after we said to meet at Macey's

We drove around for about 2 hours looking for a beach that many people had been to but that nobody could remember how to get to

We met a ranger that was going to bust us but ended up helping us

We finally found a road going to the middle of some lake (thanks to Ranger Jim)

We finally got a fire started

    We had smores

    We all got tired

    We went home

    Anything I forgot?

We should have stopped at my house the first time we were on 4th South and checked Google maps. Then we could have turned right back around and actually found the beach before midnight. I swear I remember taller dunes next to the beach though .. .

Funny thing is... almost the EXACT same thing happened to me the other day (ranger and everything, minus the whole beach thing though). Why is making a bonfire so dang hard...

Oh the memories. I'm still laughing about that gigantic bbb....bunny. lol.

Hey Buzzworth! I think that we should go back to the BSN building and finish what we started with that pallet. We were taking it to town with your car. What a fun night.

I actually have at least 4 large pallettes at my folks new place on the borders of Provorem. I told my dad we'd make a bonfire with them, so we need to make good on my word before I take off next week. [Emoticon not found] Fire . . .

In order to get the ball rolling, I propose Wednesday night, 9PM . I can even drive 'Elizabus' since we can then take the pallets whole.

So um, where is everybody? The time suggested is only 18 hours away, and I haven't gotten any interest or alternatives. We need to use this wood before I take off next Tuesday.

I'm down for a bonfire tonight, now that we know where the beach is and have the wood AS LONG AS we get a hatchet or something so that I don't put another nail in my foot.

How about a crow bar? I think that would be better for pallets anyway.

Do you have a list that you can text to let lots of people know?

Oh, and the other day I moved a literal ton of hardwood for my parents new place on the edge of Provo and Orem limits.

Who else is going? I think a bonfire sounds like fun. I know Holly is still around. She's just in Orem. Any other girls? I don't really want to be the only girl at a bonfire.

So due to dancing at Buzz's house tonight, Swing team dinner on Friday, Unofficial BYU dance Saturday, FHE Monday and my departure Tuesday . . .

Let's have a bonfire tomorrow night, Thursday May 4. Meet at Macey's at 9.

I filled the van up with 5 big pallets, cardboard and lots of scrap wood tonight, and there's even more to grab tomorrow. This time it will be a real bonfire. I scoped out the beach this afternoon, and I know what to look for to find it in the dark.

The fire would have burned just fine. The wood is all dry, and we could have started the fire on top of one of the pallets. I don't think it really has rained in Orem since 8. Unfortunately the ground was too wet and muddy to be as much fun.

But I still have all this wood to burn, so I'm thinking Monday night 9PM instead, on account of rain. 'T'will be a most excellent party.

out of curiousity, what noun is 8 modifying in that sentence? i can't quite figure it out. here are some thoughts i had...

    since 8 a.m.?

since you were 8 years old?

    since 1908?

    since August?

    since 8 days ago?

    just curious. [Emoticon not found]

I have a lot of wood that I need to burn. I have chocolate, marshmallows, grahms, hotdogs, etc.

What I've failed to gather is overwhelming support. Granted we got rained out last Thursday and they had the houswarming party Wednesday. . . I was at Maceys at 9 tonight for 20 minutes, sitting on the hood of my big green van with the lights on in case people showed up despite lack of confirmation, though I was unable to make calls due to prior engagements.

The weather should be fine all week, and I decided to go to Denver on Thursday morning, so we can still do this. I still want to do this. If I get people to say they will come, this Wednesday night might work despite the hard core people doing the Bal classes. I'm pretty sure Buzz, bob, and a few other will come if some girls will go too.

From what I've said, what are your feelings about the importance of bonfires?

    [Emoticon not found]

I know that bonfires are fun activities. They make me feel a warmth in my body and I am physically fed by smores and tubes of processed meat by-products. I have enjoy burning stuff and grow closer to my friends at the bonfire.

Will you commit below to come to the bonfire by meeting at 9 this Wednesday?

    (Which Jennifer are you?)

I'm pretty sure that Cheri and I will be there.

But not to worry!! If you are going to the Bal class, you can still make it back in time! Dancing at Zanzibar is pretty crowded so come to the beach and we will have music and beach dancing.

    It will be sweet.

and just so you don't spend two hours looking for the place, you get there by going West on 400 So past Geneva Road, and then go north on vineyard past the big park.

This Google Map shows you much of the route to get there, but you need to go a little further until there are some orange gates on the left side of the road. Then you go back 50 feet and the beach is below you.
