    Great article!

I want to add: watch where you're going and where you're putting your follow, 'cause no one likes being slammed into or by another couple, unless it's intentional.

Some valid points in there. But also some points that I do not agree with. But that's topic for another day's discussion.

A lot of great points, though the fashion section was where I probably had the most disagreements.... heh. However, a very good article.

Frankie Manning talking about how awesome Battle of bands was:

Another time was when it was a battle of the bands between Chic Webb and Benny Goodman, and Chic Webb and Count Basie. I mean, when Benny Goodman and Chic Webb were there at the battle of the bands, they had about five thousand people in the place and they must have had about four thousand on the floor (laughs). Plus the thousands of people out on the sidewalk trying to get in. And that was one night when the music was awesome. I think I changed suits three times that night, because that's all the suits I had -- three (laughs). I think I danced every single song that they played and my suit got soaking wet. Big George was the doorman and he knew me, and I'd say, "Hey George, I'll be right back." So I'd run home, 'cause I lived right up the block from the Savoy, and I'd run home, change my suit and come back. Later on, my suit was wet and I was gone again. It was fantastic.

Look at that awesome etiquette he ran home at least twice!!!

I was wondering where that was going! [Emoticon not found] Yes, changing out of sweaty clothes is definitely good etiquette that some guys fail to practice... no one on this forum I think though.

I change my shirt when I need it, but I usually don't need to at BYU dances because all the experienced dancers show up after 9 and the open doors provide good ventilation.

I'm not into the whole coat thing. but maybe I should go to DI and try it once.

Yup probably bad etiquette to make shy mindy go up all by her lonesome. But penalties offset because you were practicing good etiquette by changing your shirt.

I try and change once per a dance night unless im some place very hot.

So if it's very hot you don't change at all?

yup whats the point ill just be all wet after two songs I might as well go for the wettest man in the room prize.

P.S. the only time i dont change often is in the dirty blues room everything is wet even the walls. If its very hot on a normal lindy dance floor I change about 3 times in a night.
