I accidentally touched a girl's breast with one of my hands while we were dancing. This happened in a late night venue in Seattle. I thought I was going to die from embarrasment. She gave me a smile and said "It's OK"

Then I said to her: "For any consolation, I didn't enjoy it"

    She: "Hey!"

A couple of us decided to Lindy bomb the social dance lab last semester. Cheri and I were dancing and we were messing around, doing crazy stuff, etc (I know, hard to imagine me messing around and doing crazy stuff, but bare with me) Anyway, I managed to trip over her and regain my balance but in the process of regaining my balance, I threw her off balance and she started going down. So, being the dutiful lead that I am, I tried to stop her from falling but that only threw me off balance again. I grabbed her back with both hands and let her down as softly as possible. However, there was not enough time for me to put my hands up to catch myself and I face planted right into the ground.

There was no blood, and it didn't hurt, so we just sat there laughing for a while. Then we got up like we had meant to. A couple of people who had seen the whole thing thought that it was on purpose and asked if we could teach them that move. I said no.

I have a really embarassing story, but I don't want to tell it because I'm scared no one will want to dance with me again.

Bleh... whatever... my sister and I were dancing one time (I can't remember what kind of dance) and as I was turning her my elbow accidentally connected with her eye...

    ...she got a black eye...

    ...yeah...

    Post your embarrassing dance stories

When a girl remembers your name, but you don't remember her name.

I agree, that's pretty embarrassing... however it happens to me so often that I guess I have become a little inured to the effect, and have managed to be almost casual in my memory loss.

i'm cool with you not remembering my name, as long as you haven't known me/danced with me on a farily regular basis for over a year and remember everything about me (like my major, where i'm from, what's going on in my life) except for my name.

Don't worry, that doesn't apply to anyone here.

But Traci, it does. And when you know all about them, it's even more embarrassing that you can't remember their name. And yes it happens to me fairly regularly. There was someone on the Swing Team last semester who's name I forgot over break.

yeah...that's what i meant. i didn't get offended, i just thought it was funny 'cause we danced most saturdays and even hung out outside of dancing, and every few weeks he'd sheepishly ask "what's your name again?" but yeah. that's embarassing.

one time (not at band camp) i was at a blues workshop in Sacramento, and some out-of-town kid hung out with us the whole weekend, and I kept on forgetting his name. I felt so bad, because it wasn't like I had to learn 50 names, or even 2. it was one person, and i was the jerk who couldn't remember his name 30 seconds after he told it to me...again...and again...and again.

and thanks for the compliment about my sig. [Emoticon not found]

Actually... that has happened to me. I realize that a lot of the time when I get to know someone, I use their name for the first few days/times that I see them, and then after that I just say "Hey you!" or "How's it going?" .... after enough time passes by without my actually using their name sometimes I will forget it. hehe
